For a Beehive night at the Museo del Tessile in Busto Arsizio, the outdoor wall of the museum became the backdrop of the stage. The surface spans 30x5,4 meters and was covered by two 1080p projectors in edge blending, feeding a single 3840x688 pixel canvas built around the central niche of the facade.
The six white Funktion-One tops standing in front of the wall were mapped as well, masking only the horn of each speaker so they could work as a rhythmic element of the show instead of an obstacle. The whole set was generated live in TouchDesigner and played by hand on a MIDI controller, with the tempo tapped in and the intensity of the visuals driven by the sound in the room.
